House of Play

We are seriously under-scheduled this fall, and I am loving it. No swim lessons, no Music Together, no dance. I’m not one for scheduling much in the first place, but it’s amazing how opportunities come up, Groupons get purchased, and all of a sudden every day has something in it. I’m liking the days with nothing right now.

Nothing means home. Staying home, playing house. Inside and outside.

Nothing means play. Glorious, unstructured, pay-no-attention-to-the-mommy-with-the-camera, leave-us-alone-already PLAY.

Nothing means laughter. Lots and lots of laughter. Laugh-so-hard-the-snot-runs-down-your-chin laughter.

Nothing means getting up to something.

(Please, oh please, let this be the only window she helps him climb out of. Let this be the only house from which they plot an escape. Please. Amen.)

Nothing is something to be treasured for sure.

We had so much of this, for so many years. I miss it. So glad Groupon didn’t drag you down!
